  • What type of payment methods do you accept?

  • Are you GDPR compliant?

    We are fully compliant with the EU General Data Protection Regulation. Our ecommerce platform is capable of conducting business with all EU based customers online. Our ecommerce platform complies with the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework as set forth by the US Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information from European Union member countries.

  • What about PCI DSS?

    The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard  (PCI DSS) was developed to protect consumers and their data no matter where they shop or what channel they use. Our ecommerce platform is PCI Level 1 certified, the highest level of certification possible.

  • Your checkout form indicates my order will be sold and fulfilled by Fastspring. Who are they?

    Fastspring is our authorized Merchant of Record and authorized reseller. We use their well established ecommerce international payment platform to process all our financial transactions.

  • Where is Flight Sim Technologies located?

    Flight Sim Technologies Limited is a family owned business registered in the United Kingdom. We are located very close to Gatwick airport.


    You are more than welcome to come and visit us at any well known flightsim shows like Cosford in the UK, FSExpo in the USA, etc.

  • Can I buy your products via SimMarket or similar market places?

    Currenlty we are only offering our products via our website as it can take full advantage of our certified eccomerce platform.

  • I bought a product a while ago but I forgot my license password and details. What can I do?

    Open the product configuration window and click "forgot password". The details will be sent to you via email.


    For security reasons this will be the email address you used when you purchased the product. If you do not have access to this email address, please contact support@fsreborn.com. Please bear in mind we will need information about your original order number, email address, date of purchase, etc. in order to help you.

  • Can I move my licence key to another computer?

    Yes. But you need to deactivate the license first from your current computer before proceeding.


    This can be done via the product configuration panel.

  • My licence key is not working. What can I do?
    • Check you are using the correct licence key code.

    • If you are reactivating your licence please check you are using the correct licence password for your product.

    • If you receive a warning indicating you have exceeded the maximum number of activations / computers please deactivate your license from one of your computers first.

    • If you receive a warning message indicating your license key code is locked it means you have exceeded your allowance of reactivations per month. You can reactivate your product up to 4 times in a month, if you need to exceed this figure please contact support for assistance.
  • I formatted my computer and I forgot to deactivate my license key. What can I do?

    When you format of perform significant changes to any computer the operating system might create a new machine ID for your device triggering our license platform to request a reactivation. 



    If you forgot to deactivate your license first you will need to deallocate the license key from the old machine ID. You can do this yourself by visiting the website: https://www.softworkz.com/myLicense/, enter your licence details, use your license password and you can manually deactivate the old machine.

  • I can see some of your products are developed for Prepar3D. Is your company certified by Lockheed Martin?

    Yes, we are proud to be listed as featured developers by Lockheed Martin.

AI Lights Reborn Professional
  • I already have the freeware edition. Do I need to uninstall it before installing the professional edition?

    Yes. The professional edition will refuse to install if it detects the freeware installed on your system.


    This is a requirement to avoid conflicts  and problems with your simulator.

  • The installation refuses to install and it complains the freeware edition is still installed

    The Professional edition is trying to avoid a conflict between both addons. If you see this error it means it is finding the old add-on.xml from the freeware still active inside your system.


    You need to uninstall the freeware edition before installing the professional edition.


    If you have uninstalled the freeware and you still have this issue issue, it means something went wrong with the uninstallation of the freeware. 


    To overcome the situation please follow these steps:


    • Check if your P3D add-ons.cfg still have an entry to the freeware edition. The add-ons.cfg file can be found in C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\. Open it with notepad, find anything with a reference to AI Lights Reborn free edition, take note of the directory where P3D indicates it is located, and then delete the entry.

    • Open your user documents folder and locate your Prepar3D addons folder. Check if there is an AI Lights Reborn Freeware folder. If it is still there, then delete this folder manually.

    • Try to install the professional edition once again.

  • When I launch AI Lights Reborn Professional (AILRP) it says my add-ons.cfg is corrupted

    AILRP is more than just a tool to increase your simulation experience, and enhance the lighting effects on your AI Models.


    It performs multiple checks in your simulator to improve your enjoyment of our product. If you see this error it means your add-ons.cfg has entries and configurations for other addons that are no longer present in your system or cannot be found.


    To eliminate this error you will need to either remove the entry manually or contact the original developer of the relevant addon for further asistance.

  • The product does not detect any AI Models in my system. What can I do?

    Our product requires your simulator to have at least one of the supported AI Models packages listed in our product system requirements.


    If you have one of these, and AILRP is still unable to detect your AI Models please check and confirm the installation of this package was done correctly. This issue is normally due to:


    • Duplicated entries inside Add-ons.cfg files.

    • Missing add-on.xml files for the package.

    • The AI model package is not set as "Active" under Prepar3D.

    If you do not have an AI model package installed, we recommend using the freeware AIGM-OCI provided by Alpha India Group. Please check our product requirements for additional options.


  • When the product scans my models, a warning about AI models being skipped is displayed. What can I do?

    AILRP is more than just a tool to increase your simulation experience, and enhance the lighting effects on your AI Models.


    It performs multiple checks in your simulator to improve your enjoyment of our product, if you see this message it means some of your AI Models are not configured correctly.


    The issues are generally due to missing information, textures, or 3D models. Each error will be reported to you in detail with a suggestion of what can be done to correct them.


    The report with the errors can be exported to the clipboard so you can correct all these problems or report them directly to the relevant developer of your AI package. 

  • When I use the live preview to see my settings inside P3D, I receive an error 3 followed by error 15. How do I fix this?

    This can occur on certain occasions when your current Antivirus or Firewall software prevents the communication between AILRP and P3D.


    AILRP uses SimConnect to send commands and instructions to P3D and certain firewall or antivirus software prevents this from happening unless specific rules are configured.


    Try adding an exception for AILRP and P3D inside your windows firewall and antivirus software to correct the issue.

  • I have max out the effects size settings but these are not showing big enough inside P3D. What can I do?

    If you watch the airplanes from a shorter distance by pressing the "A" key while in preview mode. You will appreciate how the effects are actually changing.


    This behaviour occurs because by default the P3D scaling algorithms will always ignore the size of the particles effects after a distance of 1 nautical mile or more, forcing the lights to always be displayed with the same size when the airplanes move away from you or are displayed at a further distance. 


    To change this behaviour you need to open the AILRP configuration panel and select one of the FSReborn scaling techniques and restart P3D. This will improve the way P3D scales aircraft lights allowing you to have a wider range of configurations for your lighting effects alongside with more realistic representation in terms of how light scale in real world operations.

  • Is there any manual or video tutorial available?
